Well Test Interpretation & Evaluation Technology and Geological Technology of Testing for Oil

Technology overview:

 XDEC has steel wire stored and cable direct-reading electronic pressure gauges and the well testing technology of electronic fishing and permanent monitoring to perform interference tests, reservoir limit tests, well tests by casting and fishing of electronic escaper, horizontal well tests, non-stabilized well tests, real-time dynamic monitoring and other well testing operations. XDEC has Workbench, Saphir, Pansystem and several other sophisticated interpretation software. For low porosity and low permeability reservoirs, XDEC has mastered DST combined analysis method, early small-signal analysis technology, injection/drawdown test interpretation and whole history matching technology of swabbing wells. In addition, XDEC also has developed old well reexamination and analysis technology, reservoir classification & evaluation and productivity prediction, optimization of technology of testing for oil and other geological technologies of testing for oil.

(1) Well test interpretation & evaluation technology

 Reservoir limit test technology: Using electronic pressure gauge to perform reservoir limit tests to figure out the boundary distance in a timely and accurate manner with lower costs, playing an important guiding role in the exploration and development.

 Interference test technology: Using developed multi-well interference test technology and vertical interference test to accurately determine the inter-well connectivity and interlayer channeling, so as to provide the basis for the development and production.

 Injection/Drawdown test technology: Changing the passive flow to active flow to perform the injection/drawdown test in low porosity and low permeability reservoirs, so as to increase flow regions and improve the accuracy of reservoir evaluation.

(2)Geological technology of testing for oil:

Integrated old well reexamination technology: Integrating various technologies, such as second logging data interpretation method, test fracturing interpretation, minifrac interpretation chart evaluation, discrimination and selection of testing formation, wellbore safety evaluation, and optimization of technology of testing for oil, to reexamine and evaluate old wells, featuring the advantage of complete and accurate evaluation.

Reservoir classification & evaluation and productivity prediction technology: Using multi-group discrimination and fuzzy–comprehensive discrimination method to discriminate reservoirs and establish classification & evaluation and quantitative marking criteria; and using dynamic and static parameters to predict productivity, featuring accurate evaluation and high coincidence rate of prediction.

Direct-reading, stored and dual-purpose electronic pressure gauges (conventional/antisulphuric): operating pressure 17-210 MPa

Operating temperature 0-200℃;

PINEER-series EXPRO and ICT direct reading meter for electronic pressure gauges (7000m of antisulphurc cables), well test with steel wire (7000 m of steel wires);

Imported antisulphuric blowout preventer: 35-105 MPa;

Application effect:

The reservoir limit test has been applied in Mana-1, Ke-021, Che-2016, Che-2018 wells and other 96 wells successfully, playing an importance role in exploration and development of oil and gas fields.

The interference test combining with pressure monitoring has been applied in H2002 Well, H2003 Well, H2004 Well of Hutubi Gas Field and hase successfully determined the inter-well connectivity of the gas reservoir.

In 2012, the injection/drawdown test has been applied in 2 wells and achieved good effects.

The integrated old well reexamination technology has been applied successfully in retesting Huang-4, Che-26, Fengnan-9 wells and other 157 old wells for oil. And the drilling tracking technology and optimization technology of testing for oil have been applied in Ji-25 well and made important discoveries, achieving the potential tapping and increase in profits, reserves and production.

The reservoir classification & evaluation and productivity prediction have been applied in the Permian reservoir at northwestern margin, achieving 61.5% of coincidence rate of preferred formations of testing for oil, and 57.1% of coincidence rate of productivity prediction.
